Saxon confirmed as special guests at Bloodstock 2020

Saxon have been unveiled as the Sunday night special guests at Bloodstock Open Air 2020.

Biff Byford, Paul Quinn, Nigel Glockler, Nibbs Carter and Doug Scarratt will appear on the Ronnie James Dio Stage on Sunday 9th August 2020 shortly before Bloodstock headliners Judas Priest. 

Saxon’s appearance at Bloodstock will follow their three-date March 2020 UK tour that takes in Glasgow, London and Manchester. 

Also newly confirmed for Bloodstock 2020 are Orange Goblin, who also play on the Sunday, plus Conjurer, The Night Flight Orchestra and Unleash The Archers. 

It’s also been announced that Friday night bill-topper Devin Townsend is calling on Bloodstock revellers to help decide the setlist for his headline slot. 

A dedicated thread has been launched on Bloodstock’s official Facebook page featuring an extensive list of songs from Devin’s distinguished career for fans to vote on. 

Alongside the previously mentioned bands, the Bloodstock 2020 line-up also features Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Skindred, Paradise Lost, Life Of Agony, Black Dahlia Murder, Diamond Head, Jinjer, Vio-Lence, Sacred Reich, Gloryhammer, Dark Tranquility, Butcher Babies, Cattle Decapitation, Bloodywood, Memoriam, Ramage Inc, Green Lung, Bossk and many more to be announced. 

Bloodstock Open Air takes place at Catton Park in Walton-Upon Trent in Derbyshire from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th August 2020.
