Saxon Confirm DVD Release

Saxon’s long awaited DVD, Heavy Metal Thunder, is to be released next month.

The film, originally due for release earlier this month, will now be released in April following the band’s decision to add footage from their Download 2008 performance to the release.

Heavy Metal Thunder is a spanning film to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Barnsley NWOBHM legends.

As well as the Download Festival performance the film includes footage of  the band in Germany in 1981, a St. George’s Day gig from 2008, interviews from the Crusader era and footage of the band recording the Innocence Is No Excuse and Into The Labyrinth albums.
