Santana announces two March 2020 UK shows
Guitar legend Carlos Santana has announced arena shows in London and Glasgow as part of his Miraculous 2020 World Tour.
Part of a larger European trek, Santana and his titular band will play Glasgow The SSE Hydro on Thursday 26th March and London The O2 on Friday 27th March.
Tickets go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 9.30am on Friday 1st November.
Following Santana’s only Scottish and English gigs of 2020, they will also play Dublin’s 3Arena on Sunday 29th March.
The tour will commemorate two very important milestones in Carlos Santana’s career: the 20th anniversary of his ground-breaking, multiple Grammy-winning album ‘Supernatural’ and the 50th anniversary of his masterpiece ‘Abraxas’.
Alongside songs from these two albums, there will also be other classic tracks from his distinguished five-decade career and, what he calls, “the new hymns and songs of tomorrow.”
The Santana band (which also features Santana’s wife, Cindy Blackman Santana, on drums) will also perform energy-infused songs from their 2019 album ‘Africa Speaks’, produced by maverick hitmaker Rick Rubin.
Carlos Santana says: “When you come to a Santana concert, the miraculous happens. Miraculous means, transforming darkness into delight.
“I feel like a 20-year-old on stage playing with this band, and they deliver high energy on every song. When we hit the stage, we know we will touch your heart and make you dance, sing, cry, laugh and leave your baggage behind. Our vision-mission is designed to elevate, transform and illumine consciousness to make you want to embrace your own light and allow for miracles and blessings to flow from your own heart.”
