Samantha Fish reschedules UK tour and adds extra shows
It takes place in 2021 and 2022
Esteemed blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Samantha Fish has rescheduled her six-date March 2021 UK tour for September 2021 and February 2022.
Samantha’s shows at Newcastle Wylam Brewery, Edinburgh Queen’s Hall and London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire will now take place in late September 2021.
In February 2022, Samantha will return to the UK to play her concerts at Bath Komedia, Manchester Academy 2 and Nottingham Rock City. Following these rearranged shows, Samantha will play newly announced dates at Cardiff Tramshed and Brighton Chalk.
Commenting on new tour dates, Samantha Fish says: “It was strange (and ambitious) announcing a tour because we were all locked down fighting this virus. We’re still fighting!
“We’ve had to amend some dates along with a couple of new shows for our 2021/2022 UK tour, in some amazing venues. I can’t wait to get out there and play for you all and really want to have something to look forward to, and I hope you do, too!”
All original tickets remain valid to the rescheduled shows, and tickets are also on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.
A firm favourite on Blues Power with Bernard Doherty on Planet Rock, Samantha Fish released her latest studio album ‘Kill or Be Kind’ in September 2019.
Lauded by critics, the 11-track album was recorded at Royal Studios in Memphis and produced by three-time Grammy winner Scott Billington and mixed by two-time Grammy winner Steve Reynolds.
Commenting on her musical style, Samantha Fish says: "I'm never going be a traditional blues artist, because that's not who I am.
"But it's all the Blues for me. When Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf came out, what they were doing didn't sound like anything that had been done in Blues before. You've got to keep that kind of fire and spirit. I'm never going to do Muddy Waters better than Muddy Waters, so I have to be who I am and find my best voice.”
