Rush To Remix Vapor Trails

Band to rework 2002 album

Published 3rd Feb 2011

Alex Lifeson has revealed that Rush are to remix their 2002 album, Vapor Trails, as none of the band are particularly happy with the way that it sounds.

Classic Rock Magazine spoke to Alex, who said "We were never happy with the production. Perhaps we should have taken more time over the record. But now we’ve got the chance to improve things. There will be no re-recording, just a remix."

No word on any timescale for the new version, but it will be competing with a pretty full plate for the remainder of the year.

The band will be on tour for much of the year until the Autumn when they will set about recording their brand new studio album, Clockwork Angels, which will hopefully be released in 2012.

They hit the road in the UK in May with dates up and down the country which will see them play their Moving Pictures album in full at each show.

Here's the dates:

14/05/2011 - Glasgow SECC
16/05/2011 - Sheffield Motorpoint Arena
19/05/2011 - Manchester MEN Arena
21/05/2011 - Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
22/05/2011 - Birmingham LG Arena
25/05/2011 - London O2 Arena
