The team behind Beyond The Lighted Stage hoping to work with Boston\'s finest

Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn, the makers of award-winning Rush documentary Beyond the Lighted Stage are in talks to make a similar film about Aerosmith – although they’re not expecting it to be as easy to make as the one about the Canadian prog giants was.

Dunn says: "I think the musicians and fans we talked to in the Rush film have loved the band for a long time and wanted something like this. Whether it was BIlly Corgan or Kirk Hammett or Sebastian Bach, it was a band they listened to when they were young and they weren’t cool because they listened to Rush."

Meanwhile, Stephen Tyler appears to be still working on a brand new solo album.

His daughter Liv Tyler let slip the news that he is working on some solo material.

"We were driving through the hills in his fancy sports car with the top down... he was blasting me his new single; it's amazing and beautiful," she said during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "But I had this real, like, parent-child embarrassment moment where I was like, 'Dad, turn it down; everybody can hear us'."

She later said she might not have been supposed to mention it, but said it’s definitely something "he recorded on his own".

Aerosmith are also due to return to the studio in the next couple of months to continue working on their first new studio album for seven years.
