To coincide with what would have been Rory Gallagher’s 70th birthday on Friday (2nd March), UMC are reissuing his entire solo catalogue.
Last updated 9th Aug 2021
Remastered on CD and 180-gram vinyl formats, the albums will be released on Friday 16th March via UMC. This is the first time influential Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher's extensive body of solo work has been made available globally on one record label.
A total of 17 albums are available to buy ranging from Rory’s 1971 self-titled debut Rory Gallagher up to 2011’s posthumously released Notes from San Francisco.
There are also four live albums as part of the extensive reissue package – 1972’s Live In Europe, 1974’s Irish Tour ‘74, 1980’s Stage Struck and 1999’s BBC Sessions.
The reissues are the first flurry of Rory Gallagher releases since the Universal Music Group label bought the rights to his solo catalogue in 2017. UMC are also collaborating with the Rory Gallagher estate on new physical and streaming products.
Donal Gallagher, Rory’s brother and director of the Rory Gallagher estate, comments: “My only sibling wasn’t one for birthdays but his birthdate gives us a good reason to celebrate Rory's music and legacy."
Available to pre-order from UMC right here, all the following albums are available on CD and 180-gram LP except where noted:
