Crossfire Hurricane is released in 250 cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 18 October when a simulcast from the premiere in Leicester Square will take place.

The film includes extensive historical footage, much of it widely unseen, with contemporary commentaries by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and former Stones Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor. The story is told via period interviews, extensive live performance material and news archive as it follows the 50 year career of one of rock's greatest bands.

Crossfire Hurricane has taken over a year to make and produce with the full cooperation of The Rolling Stones It is directed by award winning director Brett Morgen, who was responsible for the superb Kid Stays In The Picture film in 2002.

Director Morgen added, "Crossfire Hurricane invites the audience to experience firsthand the Stones' nearly mythical journey from outsiders to rock and roll royalty. This is not an academic history lesson. Crossfire Hurricane allows the viewer to experience the Stones' journey from a unique vantage point. It's an aural and visual roller coaster ride.”
