Roger Waters Plans New Album
Musician "absolutely determined" to make new record.
Although it's been more than two decades since his last full-length studio album, Roger Waters is now planning and writing new music, having found his subject matter in "religious extremism". A subject the songwriter says is "a maligned factor in most of our lives."
He has now completed the first song, although he has still to give it a title.Â
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Waters stated that the first line of his new song was 'If I Had Been God...' and the inspiration had come from a song he had written 15 years ago for the film 'Michael.'
"I'm absolutely determined to make another album. And I think this new song may give me the chance to do that. It provides a cornerstone and a core idea for me to write a new album about."
