Taylor also spoke about Queen’s most recent work – including the Cosmos Rocks album and the tour with Paul Rodgers.

"The Cosmos Rocks album was not at all bad and I thoroughly enjoyed the tours we did with Paul," he said. "He is one of the finest singers alive. I regret that some people expected him to be Freddie; how crass."

The percussionist went on to discuss the Freddie Mercury biopic that is in the works.

"Our involvement is significant, but not upfront," he said. "We will, however, be in charge of the music."
