Rod Wants Ronnie To Quit Stones
Rod won\'t reunite with Faces until Ronnie\'s finished with the Stones
Speaking to Billboard Rod revealed "We get together and we mess about, but the trouble with Ronnie is he's still committed to the Stones.
"Talking for myself and the rest of the band, we need a commitment, not just, 'Well, I've got next month off.' It doesn't work like that – it's not very professional.
"If he can give us the time then I'll commit as well. I'd love to, but until he's finished with the Stones, whenever that will be, I can't commit."
Rod is currently working on a record with Jeff Beck - it will be the first time that they two have appeared on record together since the early 70s.
The Faces, meanwhile, reunited last year with former Simply Red man Mick Hucknall on frontman duties and Sex Pistol Glen Matlock filling in for the late, great Ronnie Lane.
They have a couple of gigs lined up for later this year including headlining Cornbury Festival on 2 July and playing a special show at the The Chakravarty Cup presents Polo Rocks on Saturday 23 July.
