Robert Plant Plays Tiny Show In Wales

The BBC reports that Plant played at the 200 capacity village hall earlier this month at a tribute show to his friend, who died earlier this year, and where tickets cost £3 each.

Plant joined three local musicians at the charity gig. "It was amazing – he's a rock god and he was playing in a village hall," said lifelong fan Darren Martin. "It was a real honour to be there and he chatted with the audience afterwards."

He apparently performed a mixture of Led Zeppelin numbers and some from his solo career, including the hit Big Log.

The fundraising gig was held in honour of his friend Pat Moran, 63, who worked on Led Zeppelin's first three albums. He sadly died of a rare dementia in January.

Mr Moran's brother, Brian, said: "It was very kind of Mr Plant to join in – Pat would have been very proud.

"Mr Plant was even kind enough to sign a T-shirt, which will be auctioned on eBay."
