WATCH: Robert Plant shares performance of 'In The Mood' ahead of TV special
Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters have previewed their upcoming live special on the acclaimed US TV series Austin City Limits.
Recorded back in March at Moody Theater in Austin on the final night of the Plant’s ‘Southern Journey’ US Tour, the hour-long set boasts tracks 2014’s ‘Lullaby and The Ceaseless Roar’ together with covers of Willie Dixon, Joan Boaz and Bukka White.
Led Zeppelin tracks that featuring include ‘Black Dog’, ‘Rock and Roll’ and ‘The Lemon Song’.
Set to air Stateside this weekend, as a tantalising taster you can see footage of Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters performing his 1983 synthrock single ‘In The Mood’ here:
Taking a break from recording the new Sensational Space Shifters record, Robert is playing the first of seven shows on the 11-date Lampedusa: Concerts for Refugees tour at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee tonight (12th October).
The charity concerts are raising money for educational programs for displaced people in 45 countries around the world. The tour also features spots from Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller and The Milk Carton Kids.
