Rob and Romesh vs Download Festival hits TV tonight

The new series of Rob and Romesh vs. continues tonight (Wednesday 4th September) with the comedians visiting the hallowed (and muddy) turf of Donington Park to take on Download Festival.

Available to watch on Sky Max from 9pm, the Rob and Romesh vs. Heavy Metal / Download Festival episode sees Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan get music lessons from Scottish metallers Bleed from Within in the build-up to DLXII.

Fully embracing the Download Festival spirit, at the event the duo got stage fright tips from Friday headliners Queens of the Stone Age, met the legendary Download Dog and visited the tattoo tent.

As anyone who bore witness to Bleed from Within’s performance in June will know, the show culminates with Rob and Romesh joining the band on The Opus Stage on Saturday night to belt out Metallica’s classic anthem ‘Enter Sandman.’

Sky TV has shared a clip from the episode featuring Rob getting drumming lessons from Bleed from Within drummer Ali Richardson.

Failing to get to grips with drumming, Rob quips in the clip: “Look, I am not a musician, and I’ve proved that throughout my life, and on this very show a couple of times already. But, we’ll give it a bash and see what happens.”

Download Festival takes place in 281 days’ time from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June 2025. Tickets are on sale now.
