Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow’s very special June 2016 show at Birmingham’s Genting Arena is being released as a double album.

Published 5th Apr 2017

‘Live In Birmingham 2016’ includes all 15 songs performed at the sell-out show including ‘Burn’ and ‘Soldier of Fortune’ that didn’t make the setlist at their earlier Monsters of Rock gigs in Germany.

The band consisting of Ritchie alongside vocalist Ronnie Romero, Stratovarius keyboardist Jens Johansson and Blackmore's Night drummer David Keith & bassist Bob Nouveau performed a set that consisted of eight Deep Purple tracks and six Rainbow anthems. It was Ritchie's first rock show on UK soil in almost two decades.

The album is set for release on Friday 9th June 2017 via Eagle Rock Entertainment.
