RECORD LISTENERS FOR PLANET ROCK

More of you are listening than ever before

Our quarterly listening figures are in and it seems that more people are rocking out to Planet Rock than ever before.

A massive 718,000 listeners now tune in on a weekly basis, up 3.5% quarter on quarter.

The audience increase is driven by growth across all daytime shows Monday-Friday, with Rob Birnie’s morning show audience up 12% to 290,000 and ‘Breakfast with Alice Cooper’ showing a 5% increase to 185,000.

The weekend sees Rick Wakeman and David Jensen’s Saturday show (1000-1300) showing year on year growth of 17.3%

Planet Rock maintains its lead over the competition as a commercial digital only radio station with 5,182,000 total hours of listening.

Planet Rock CEO Malcolm Bluemel said "‘This is yet another fantastic result for Planet Rock and digital radio, whilst we love winning awards, the validation of what we do comes from our increasing audience; it just keeps going from strength to strength, and as digital becomes the common platform for radio in this country then it will just get better and better. Absolutely brilliant!’

Needless to say, we are immensely grateful to everyone that's still listening to us and we want to say a huge welcome to all of our new listeners.

Keep rockin,
