A few details have emerged about what goodies are on offer at this year\'s Black Friday

With vinyl sales up 40% on last year, it seems that there is still some love for physical musical formats.

And following a hugely successful Record Store Day which took place worldwide in April, there is a slightly less grand but still pretty exciting offshoot taking place in a few weeks.

Record Store Day: Black Friday will celebrate the vinyl format with a range of super limited edition releases. There's a lot of UK stores already signed up to take part and the list of records getting a special vinyl release is growing all the time.

So far the list includes releases such as:

  • An LA Woman 7" box set from The Doors including  'The Changling', 'Riders on the Storm', 'Love Her Madly' and a fourth single of studio banter;
  • 'Nevermind- The Singles' from Nirvana, a box set of four 10" EPs with a total of 15 tracks;
  • 'The Beatles - The Singles' - A box set of four 7" picture sleeve newly-remastered singles in a metal tin;
  • 'Kings of Leon - The Early Vinyl' - a four LP set containing Youth & Young Manhood, Aha Shake Heartbreak, Because of The Times, and a fourth LP with unreleased studio and live tracks.
  • Pink Floyd - The Wall Singles Box
  • The Byrds - Eight Miles High and The Times They Are A Changin' 7"s
  • Tom Petty - Kiss My Amps (Live) LP
