Rare Van Halen Rainbow Cover

As a tribute to the late great Ronnie James Dio, a Van Halen fansite has unearthed a rare cover of Rainbow’s ‘Man On The Silver Mountain.’

The soundboard recording from a Goldenwest Ballroom show in 1976 is, according to Van Halen News Desk, a previously unreleased and unheard version of the Rainbow classic which has never made an appearance on any bootlegs (it isn’t the same one that has been doing the rounds on bootleg recordings for the past 30 years).
