Rage Reveal Free Gig Details
Band stick to their pre-Xmas promise
Anyone that helped Rage Against The Machine score the Christmas Number One in the UK charts may be interested in the details of the free gig that the band have announced.
Prior to topping the charts Rage revealed that they would play a free show in the UK if they managed to get to Number 1 for Christmas – and they have been as good as their word with the announcement of a celebratory victory party.
The show will take place on Sunday 6 June in Finsbury Park, London and 40,000 tickets will be allocated through a giant lottery.
Folks have until this SUNDAY NIGHT (14 Feb) to register their entry (you’ll need a photo too). If you’re successful in the lottery you can get a maximum of two tickets – but BOTH people will need to have a registration number.
"A historic grassroots rebellion made our song 'Killing in the Name' the number one Christmas single of 2009. The people of the UK toppled the X-Factor giant, raised a great deal of money for homeless charities, and shocked the world. As a thankyou to our UK fans and freedom fighters we promised to play a free show. Well...here we come. June 6th, Finsbury Park, the celebration/party/revolution is ON!!" - Tom Morello
