Radiohead Help Out Bootleggers
Band give blessing to ambitious free live film
Radiohead have helped out with a fan made live bootleg project.
A group of 50 Radiohead uber-fans attended a concert in Prague on 23 August last year armed with flip cameras. Each of the fans filmed the concert from various points in the auditorium and the film was edited into a coherent live film.
But what makes this not-for-profit film special is that the band actually handed over the audio masters so that the fans could soundtrack the film with proper audio.
Now the film is complete and entitled Radiohead - Live In Praha and is available to download for nothing from the website below (NOTE: the site runs painfully slowly, so be patient).
In the meantime enjoy a couple of excerpts from the film below. It’s not the easiest watch, but it’s a pretty impressively put together project and it really does put you in the midst of the audience like no concert film we’ve seen before.
