Queen "Live At Wembley" - 25th Anniversary Edition
New DVD features full concert footage plus a host of bonus material.
Queen will issue a new 25th Anniversary Edition of the band’s "Live At Wembley" concert on March 12.
Spread over two discs, new content will include previously-unreleased concert footage, secretly-filmed rehearsal videos and new interviews.Â
Filmed during Queen's sell-out concerts at Wembley stadium on Friday, July 11th and Saturday, July 12th 1986, the concert was to be one of the last featuring Freddie Mercury before his death.Â
Says Brian May:Â "The Wembley concerts in 1986 were the pinnacle for us. We were at our height band-wise, and Freddie had developed this phenomenal way of dealing with stadium audiences. Being back home in London playing two sell-out nights was such a big, big occasion for us. None of us realized that this would be almost the last time we played together..."Â
"I don't think anyone expected the Magic tour to be the band's last dates; things had gone so well and we were already planning the next one," adds Gerry Stickells, Queen's tour manager. "There was no sense of anything coming to an end".Â
The video footage has been digitally restored with a remastered soundtrack, featuring stereo mix 5.1 sound.Â
