The Edge has told Planet Rock that U2 had to put the brakes on experimenting with producers while making their new album.

Speaking in a new interview to be aired tomorrow, the guitarist says Songs of Innocence took a while to come together, and they eventually realised they just needed to get on with making the record and getting it out.
