Plant To Write New Material With Band Of Joy

Robert Plant has revealed that he will be writing original material with the Band Of Joy for their next studio album.

After their album of covers last year, it seems that the next album will consist of at least some new songs. In an interview with the Pulse Of Radio Plant revealed said "We're talking, we have to write songs now."

"It's all very well celebrating other people's songwriting, and I know there are other artists who have had an entire career; whether it be Elvis (Presley) or (Frank) Sinatra, or a lot of the country artists who never write. But we've got to be heading that way soon."

The first Band Of Joy album was made up entirely of covers of the likes of Richard Thompson, Low and Townes Van Zandt.
