Planet Rock does Download

It rained. No one cared...

As the hangovers start to fade, and the blues begin to kick in, we thought we'd give you a run down of Download Festival 2015!

Check out all our photos and video interviews from Download.

On Friday, the heavens well and truly opened as first Judas Priest and then Slipknot gave the crowd two lessons in how to put on a metal show. Elsewhere, our very own Danny Bowes and the Thunder boys rocked the Second Stage alongside Black Stone Cherry and The Cadillac Three. Check out our video interviews to see the unexpected hitches both the latter had to overcome!

Saturday brought a slight cessation in the rain, albeit in a stop-start manner. Muse performed a pitch-perfect set on the Main Stage to close the night, although guitarists falling over seems to be catching, as Matt Bellamy slipped on the wet stage within 20 seconds!
Earlier in the day, Planet Rockstock newcomers Crobot were one of the highlights of the festival, bringing their groovy riffs and snakey hips to the Jake Stage, whilst Planet Rockstock: Marrakech headliners Black Star Riders shook the Second Stage. The unique stylings of Faith No More saw "wet Englishmen as far as the eye can see" belting out their cover of 'Easy' , truly a strange sight!

The festival was closed in a ball of pyrotechnics as Motley Crue and then KISS rounded off the main stage. Say what you want about Gene Simmons' controversial views, but they do put on an absolute spectacle of a show! It's a good job they do because Slash - on before the Crue - played an almost untoppable set of Guns N' Roses , Velvet Revolver and solo material, which drew a massive crowd. Talking of which, Planet Rockstock headliners The Darkness performed a not-so-secret set in the Maverick stage tent, which gathered a crowd at least 20 rows deep outside, and deservedly so!
