Recorded at Long Wave Recording Studio in Cardiff on 27th October with Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me the Horizon, Funeral For A Friend, Motörhead) on production duties, the cover follows the release of Piston’s self-titled debut album in September.

‘Piston’ features the singles ‘One More Day’ and ‘Rainmaker’, which were both played on Planet Rock.

The accompanying ‘Mama Weer All Crazee Now’ video features cameo appearances from a number of bands including Bad Touch, Collateral, Revival Black, Gorilla Riot, Sons of Liberty, New Saints and Liberty Lies.

Explaining why the decided to cover their fellow West Midlands natives Slade, Piston guitarist Jack Edwards says: “2019 has been an incredible year for Piston.

“We wanted to pay respect to one our favourite bands, Slade, who also come from the same neck of the woods in Wolverhampton. This Christmas single is a thank you to everyone who supported us this year.”

In the past two months, Piston have toured with Collateral, and Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin’ Stones and Gorilla Riot on the Planet Rock Roadstars Tour. Additionally, they’ve also supported The Cult, Phil Campbell and Glenn Hughes.
