Pink Floyd Stream Entire Catalogue On Spotify
Fans unlocked the band's catalogue yesterday.
Up until now Pink Floyd had refused to make their music available on the streaming service; when the band's label EMI signed their deal with Spotify in 2011, the Pink Floyd catalogue was excluded.
This week however, the band made a u-turn on previous doubts and set fans off on a challenge, posting this message on their Twitter account:
> Help stream Wish You Were Here 1 million times to unlock Pink Floyd's catalogue on @Spotify: http://t.co/PpNjKAm3AX#floydcountdown > > — Pink Floyd (@pinkfloyd) June 13, 2013
//
Fans immediately set to work and within 3 days, the play count had been reached and the catalogue unlocked.
