Pink Floyd Marks 800 Weeks On US Top 200
Dark Side Of The Moon keeps stretching that record breaking run
There was a little bit of hysteria in the press earlier this week that Adele's latest album had overtaken Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon in the biggest selling albums list in the UK.
However, it's unlikely that she will ever get close to Floyd's record in the US which has seen their classic 1973 album spend an extraordinary 800 weeks in the top 200 of the album charts.
Currently residing at number 137 in the charts, DSOTM was still shifting 8000-9000 copies per week BEFORE the latest reissue at the end of 2011. It's sold an estimated 50m copies worldwide.
