Pink Floyd’s seminal concert film Delicate Sound of Thunder will be screened at cinemas across the UK and worldwide for one-night only this autumn.

It will now be shown at cinemas across the globe on Thursday 15th October 2020 for the very first time.
Tickets go on sale from the delicatesoundofthunder.com website from Thursday 27th August and screenings are subject to local venue Covid-19 measures. Individual screenings are also subject to change based on the status of local cinema re-opening.
The 2020 version of Delicate Sound of Thunder has been restored, re-edited and remixed for the cinema release. As a tantalising taster, you can watch the performance of ‘Learning To Fly’ right here:
The new edit of the film was sourced directly from over 100 cans of original 35mm negatives, painstakingly restored and transferred to 4K, and completely re-edited by Benny Trickett from the restored and upgraded footage, under the creative direction of Aubrey Powell/Hipgnosis.
The sound was also remixed from the original multitrack tapes by longtime Pink Floyd engineer Andy Jackson with Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, assisted by Damon Iddins.
Songs in the concert film include ‘The Great Gig in the Sky’, ‘Comfortably Numb’, ‘Learning To Fly’, ‘Time’, ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘Run Like Hell’.
Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason were accompanied by Jon Carin (Keyboards, Vocals), Tim Renwick (Guitars, Vocals), Guy Pratt (Bass, Vocals), Gary Wallis (Percussion), Scott Page (Saxophones, Guitar), Margret Taylor (Backing Vocals), Rachel Fury (Backing Vocals) and Durga McBroom (Backing Vocals) at the shows.
Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, says: "Trafalgar Releasing are pleased to be collaborating with Pink Floyd, Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group to bring this seminal concert film from one of the most celebrated rock bands of all time, to cinemas around the world.
“Featuring a stellar setlist, outstanding visuals and completely restored, remixed and re-edited, this Grammy Award nominated film is a true celebration for the band and their fans."
