Pink Floyd Could Reunite For Charity

Nick Mason says that the band will get back together for the right cause

Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason has revealed that he believes Pink Floyd would reunite for the right charity.

Speaking at Manchester’s In The City event the drummer revealed that he believes Roger Waters and David Gilmour would also be open to the idea of reuniting for the right cause.

"I think it would be a very nice way for a band to gently move towards retirement, by doing shows absolutely for charity rather than for more income," he told the BBC. "In a way the best thing would be to do a number of shows and have some sort of foundation."

Waters and Gilmour have already played together this year at a charity event for the Hoping Foundation. They played four songs together for the first time since 2005’s Live 8. Waters has also announced that Gilmour will likely join him onstage at one of his forthcoming Wall tour dates next year.
