The band’s first show since they played London’s The O2 on 11th August 2018 once again featured the spectacular live production based that wowed Europe, including the 90-percent-sized replica Spitfire buzzing around during opener ‘Aces High’, Bruce Dickinson blasting flame-throwers during ‘Flight Of Icarus’, and a gargantuan Eddie gracing the stage during ‘The Trooper’.

Unlike The Book of Souls World Tour which featured minor setlist changes between the 2016 and 2017 shows, the setlist in Florida remained the same as the European Tour melding live staples with lesser played tracks like ‘The Clansman’, ‘Where Eagles Dare’ and the aforementioned ‘Flight of Icarus’.

The Legacy Of The Beast World Tour is inspired by Iron Maiden’s comic book and mobile phone game of the same name, and, in keeping with this, the stage set design features a number of different but interlocking ‘worlds’.

Enthusing about the tour recently, drummer Nicko McBrain said: "When you're there in the flesh and you see this incredible stage set and the production we put into this show, you're going to be absolutely astounded."

Speaking to Rolling Stone last week, Iron Maiden’s sole constant member, Steve Harris, said performing live was of tantamount importance to him.

“If anyone was to say to me, ‘What would you want to be remembered for?’ I’d say just that we were a bloody good live band,” Steve said. “That’s mainly what I’m interested in.”

The 33-date North American leg of The Legacy of the Beast Tour continues Cellairis Amphitheatre in Atlanta on Saturday night (20th July) and wraps up in Mexico City on 30th September.

Iron Maiden then head to South America in October for stadium and arena dates in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
