Phil Collins has confirmed to Planet Rock he's hoping to play at least some drums on Genesis' upcoming reunion tour.

After 13 years away, Genesis officially reunited yesterday (4th March) and announced the The Last Domino? Tour, which hits arenas across the UK in November and December 2020.
With Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel not taking part in the reunion, the Genesis trio of Phil Collins (vocals), Mike Rutherford (bass/guitar) and Tony Banks (keyboards) will be joined by guitarist Daryl Stuermer and Phil’s teenage son Nic Collins on drums at the shows.
Speaking to Planet Rock’s Ian Danter about the reunion, singer Phil Collins says he still hopes to play drums at some point during the concerts.
“I’m gonna do my damnedest to be able to play something (on drums),” Phil told us. “Accompany Nic would be more the way I look at it. But we’ll see if I can hold onto those sticks.”
Elsewhere in the chat, Tony Banks admitted Genesis didn’t think about reforming when they went their separate ways in 2007.
“I think we kind of live in a present a little bit, we don’t necessarily think that far ahead," Tony said. “I wouldn’t necessarily have thought 13 years ago that we’d ever do it again and it would be 13 years before we did do it again.
“I think the chances of us writing together again are pretty small actually, but it’s never… who knows?!”
