According to the NME, The Who's Pete Townshend has revealed that the band are set tour their 1973 rock opera 'Quadrophenia'.

The guitarist revealed the live plans on his blog on the legendary rockers' website Thewho.com. No dates have yet been announced but Townshend said the jaunt will be happening "next year".

He also spoke about not appearing on bandmate Roger Daltrey's 'Tommy' tour, which the singer has been taking around the UK this month.

Townshend wrote:
The reason I am not on the road with Roger is that this is entirely Roger's adventure, one that is bringing him great joy. I don't belong on this 'Tommy' tour. I wish him well, sincerely, and I look forward to playing with Roger again doing 'Quadrophenia' next year

Last month, Daltrey told Rolling Stone that he wasn't taking Townshend on the tour due to his bandmate's "terrible hearing problems." However, the guitarist disputed this claim on the new blog, stating that his hearing is "better than ever".
