Pearl Jam Release Bumper Bootleg Boxes

Grunge pioneers release details of their latest live albums

Pearl Jam have been busy adding new official bootlegs to their catalogue.

The grunge pioneers have been releasing live recordings their shows for the best part of ten years, and now they’ve announced not only their 2010 Bootleg Program but also a couple of brand new live box sets.

The 2010 Bootleg Program will see the band releasing high quality soundboard recordings of all of the shows on their 2010 tour – which, of course, includes their show at Hard Rock Calling in London in June. The recordings will be available as MP3 or FLAC recordings or as burn-to-order CDs.

And the band have also announced two limited edition Box Sets of recordings from 2009.

The first is a nine disc commemorative box set containing the band’s four shows at the now closed Spectrum in Philadelphia.

The other box is one for the collectors – it’s a 65 (yes, sixty-five) disc box set containing 32 shows recorded on the band’s 2009 tour. You may want to start putting your pocket money aside, though, as it will cost you a cool $395 (plus shipping).
