Pearl Jam Planning US Festival

Pearl Jam are planning to put on a new music festival in the US next summer.

The news was broken by the band’s manager Kelly Curtis on their Sirius XM channel, when he revealed that the band would curate and organise the festival in an as yet undisclosed location in the US. They will also probably headline the festival..

The relevance of the news is twofold – firstly it would be a turnaround from the band’s position that they were taking a break for a while and secondly, depending on when the festival was held and what other live shows PJ have in store it would also suggest that Soundgarden are not planning to head to Europe (they share a drummer in Matt Cameron).
