Ozzy Osbourne has shared what he reckons is the best ever cover of Black Sabbath’s ‘War Pigs.’

The Prince of Darkness took to social media last night (11th January) to share a clip of rapper T-Pain – real name Faheem Rashad Najm – performing a cover of Black Sabbath’s seminal anti-war song in December.

Ozzy wrote: “This is the best cover of “War Pigs” ever. Why didn’t you guys call me?”

T-Pain responded: “You’re always invited. Top of the list, every time!! Thank you so much. Means a lot coming from the greatness himself.”

Since Ozzy shared the 53-second clip last night, the video has been viewed 6.7 million times on X alone.

T-Pain recorded a studio version of ‘War Pigs’ for his 2023 covers album ‘On Top Of The Covers’, and he has regularly performed the track live.

You can listen to the studio version right here:

‘On Top Of The Covers’ also features T-Pain’s take on Journey’s ubiquitous anthem ‘Don’t Stop Believin’, Sam Cooke’s ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ and other classic and contemporary tracks.

‘War Pigs’ has been covered by a vast array of artists in the past 54 years including Faith No More, Tesla, Dream Theater, Zakk Wylde and Michael Schenker Group.

Earlier this week, Ozzy Osbourne doubled down on his ambition to play “a few gigs” in 2024 should his health allow.

Speaking to his good friend Billy Morrison on The Osbournes Podcast, Ozzy said: "I'm gonna try my hardest to get well enough to do a few gigs."
