Ozzy Osbourne to release unheard Taylor Hawkins collaborations
"There's a bunch of stuff" in the bank
Last updated 16th Sep 2022
A number of songs Ozzy Osbourne recorded with late Foo Fighters legend Taylor Hawkins will be released for a new project.
The late-great Taylor Hawkins played drums on three songs on Ozzy Osbourne’s new studio album ‘Patient Number 9’ - ‘Parasite’, ‘Mr. Darkness’ and ‘God Only Knows’ – and he also has co-songwriting credits on those trio of tracks.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Ozzy Osbourne’s producer Andrew Watt revealed that Ozzy has more songs recorded in the bank with Taylor Hawkins.
Confirming the unreleased songs will see the light of day, Andrew Watt said: “There’s a bunch of other stuff with Ozzy and Taylor, as well, that’s going to be used for another thing.”
‘Patient Number 9’ is dedicated to the memory of Taylor Hawkins and it also features collaborations with Tony Iommi, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, Zakk Wylde, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, and Robert Trujillo to name but a few.
Ozzy Osbourne is scheduled to tour the UK on his long-delayed No Mores Tours 2 trek with Judas Priest in May and June 2023.
Earlier this week, Ozzy Osbourne shared professionally filmed footage of his entire halftime show at the Los Angeles Rams’ American football game versus Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium on Thursday 8th September.
It was Ozzy’s second performance this year after he sang ‘Paranoid’ with Tony Iommi at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony.
