Ozzy Osbourne has said he’ll only be singing “bits and pieces” with Black Sabbath at their Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park.

Tickets for Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s final show sold out within minutes of going on sale last week, with hundreds of thousands of fans trying to snap them up.

76-year-old Ozzy, who last performed a full concert in December 2018, spoke about his performance with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward on the latest episode of the Ozzy Speaks show on US radio station SiriusXM.

Ozzy told his co-host and friend Billy Morrison: "I'm not planning on doing a (full) set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.

"I am trying to get back on my feet. When you get up in the morning, you just jump out of bed. I have to balance myself, but I'm not dead. I'm still actively doing things."

He went on to say: “You know what, Billy, I go on about the way I can’t walk and I can’t do this, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all of my complaining, I’m still alive.”

“I may be moaning about how I can’t walk as well … but as I look down the road, there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me, and they didn’t make it.”

Taking place at Aston Villa’s stadium on Saturday 5th July, the Back to the Beginning concert features a truly astonishing bill of rock and metal giants including Metallica, Anthrax, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains and Halestorm.

Individual performers at the all-day concert including Guns N’ Roses’ Slash and Duff McKagan, and Ghost’s Papa V Perpetua, Ozzy’s former solo band mates Jake E Lee and Rudy Sarzo, KK Downing, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Sammy Hagar and Disturbed’s David Draiman.
