Ozzy Osbourne has launched a fresh swipe at Black Sabbath’s farewell tour claiming he wasn’t allowed to have any fun.

Although he seemingly had a good time on stage on The End Tour, in a new wide-ranging interview with Rolling Stone Ozzy maintained that this definitely wasn’t the case.

“It’s not allowed to have fing fun with Sabbath,” Ozzy complained. “It’s too serious. Tony (Iommi) was trying to have a go at me, saying, ‘Don’t fing talk over my solos.’ I go, ‘OK, are you sure? ‘Cause most of the fing song is solos. The intro to the song is fin’ five minutes and then I sing for about two seconds and then it’s another one.’

“With my own thing, I’m looking to have fun, and that’s what music’s about for me. I’m not a serious f***ing singer. I’m just a frontman who’s trying to get the crowd going in front.”

He added: “With Sabbath, all I am is a singer with a band. This is a different thing. I’ve got a lot of freedom and I have fun with it.”

The comments echo an interview Ozzy conducted with Philadelphia’s The Inquirer last month when he said he “didn’t have a great time” on the swansong trek and he was “getting bad vibes” from his Black Sabbath band mates “for being Ozzy.”

He questioned: “I don't know, what the f*** else can I be?"

Responding to Ozzy’s comments in an interview with The List, Tony Iommi said: “I saw that but I don't know what (Ozzy) meant.

“I had a great time on the last tour playing with the guys and Ozzy never mentioned anything to me. He seemed to enjoy it and we had a laugh so I don't know, so I think possibly that quote was taken out of context.”

Ozzy recently confirmed to fans that he’s fully recovered after undergoing two surgical procedures for multiple staph infections in his right hand.
