Ozzy the mechanical bull unveiled at Birmingham New Street - watch
Sharon Osbourne attends the ceremony

Ozzy the mechanical bull, named after Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne, was officially unveiled at Birmingham New Street station this morning (26th July) with Sharon Osbourne in attendance.
The 33ft (10m) moveable sculpture arguably stole the show at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium back in August 2022, and it was due to be sent to the scrap heap after the event.
The bull was saved after thousands of people signed a petition, and a poll was later held to decide the new bull’s new name in place of its previous moniker ‘Raging Bull.’
‘Ozzy’ eventually triumphed ahead of 'Bostin', 'Brummie' or 'Boulton', and the bull was unveiled at Birmingham New Street station at this morning to mark the first anniversary of the start of the Commonwealth Games.
The newly unveiled sculpture was met with loud applauses and cheers, and Ozzy’s first performance saw him moving his head with lit-up eyes as he swished his tail and roared.
Watch Ozzy’s unveiling at Birmingham New Street:
Sharon Osbourne gushed to the BBC: "It's like breath-taking, this is mammoth, huge, but it's just brilliant isn't it.
"For Ozzy to be born and bred here and having spent so much time in this station, because of course he didn't have a car, so he was everywhere from New Street.
"He would never, ever, ever have thought that at this time in his life, this would happen."
When ‘Ozzy’ won the poll in June, Ozzy Osbourne said in a video message: "I can't believe it, I'm absolutely blown away. Thank you for all your votes. I don't know what to say anymore, I'm just thrilled to bits!"
He finished with a rousing fist pump, "God bless you all, and Birmingham forever!"
Special effects company Artem, who created the bull, have now redesigned Ozzy to make him suitable for indoor display.
Ozzy Osbourne recently cancelled his planned live comeback at California’s Power Trip festival due to continued poor health. He revealed on Monday that he has recently been treated for blood clots.
