Ozzy Osbourne has apologised to Britney Spears for their unlikely beef, however The Prince of Darkness couldn’t resist a fresh dig.

The whole furore started two weeks ago when Ozzy Osbourne hit out at Britney Spears’ dancing videos online, complaining: “I’m fed up of seeing poor old Britney Spears dancing on Youtube every f---ing day. It’s sad, very, very sad.”

Irked by Ozzy’s remarks, Spears issued a strongly-worded response saying she’s fed up with "comments saying it's sad that I'm as old as I am and I'm dancing every single day on IG !!!"

Comparing her situation to Kate Beckinsdale, who said she suffers “insidious bullying” online over her age, Spears wrote: "Number 1) I hardly ever dance … and number 2) I'm not poor at all !!!

“I have more ligature in my left toe than any grown man or woman on earth !!! If you don't believe me … how long do you think I should keep this going for ???"

"I'm gonna do a photoshoot with Kate and tell the Osbourne family who is the most boring family known to mankind to kindly f--- off !!!"

Now, Ozzy has issued a perfunctory apology to Spears complete with a new barb aimed at her dancing.

"Britney, I really owe you an apology," Ozzy says in the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast.

"I'm so sorry for making that comment. However, it would be better if you didn't do the same f---ing dance every day. Change a few movements… I love Britney Spears, but it's the same dance every day!"

"I really do apologise," he added. "I love you and I think you're beautiful."

In more pressing Ozzy Osbourne news, last week original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward confirmed he would “love” to play a final reunion gig with the fabled Birmingham band.
