PLUS Ozzy leads stadium in world record attempt
Ozzy Osbourne has volunteered to undergo a hi-tech test to help medical science understand how he has survived for so long despite punishing his body with various substances.
The Sun reports that Ozzy has agreed to let scientists map his genetic code through at £27,000 test in a bid to understand how he has survived the various "escapades” that he’s undergone in his lifetime.
Nathan Pearson, of US company Knome, which will map Ozzy's genome using a blood sample, said: "Analysing individuals with extreme medical histories has great potential scientific value."
Meanwhile, Ozzy helped break the world screaming record over the weekend.
In a publicity stunt arranged to raise awareness for the third annual Thinkcure! Weekend (held to promote collaborative research in the hunt for cancer cures) and to help push his new album, entitled Scream, Ozzy led a crowd at the Dodgers Stadium in LA to break the record for longest and loudest scream.
The event was attended and verified by the Guinness World Records Officials. You can watch footage of the event at the link below:
