Ozzy Albums Restored And Reissued
Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman to be reissued later this year
The first two classic Ozzy Osbourne albums are to be reissued later this year to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Ozzy going solo.
Classic Rock Magazine reports that the albums Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman will be remastered and reissued later this year, but unlike the 2002 reissues they will feature the original contributions by bassist Bob Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake.
The albums were famously re-done in 2002 following a bitter lawsuit that was filed in 1986 by Daisley and Kerslake over unpaid royalties. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed in 2004 by the US Supreme Court.
The 2002 remasters featured future Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and drummer Mike Bordin on drums and at the time Sharon Osbourne told a press conference "Because of Daisley and Kerslake's abusive and unjust behaviour, Ozzy wanted to remove them from these recordings. We turned a negative into a positive by adding a fresh sound to the original albums."
No word on release dates for the reissues just yet, but we’ll let you know.
