Original Fleetwood Mac Bassist Dies
Bob Brunning sadly passes away aged 68
Brunning joined Fleetwood Mac when John McVie initially turned down Peter Green's offer to join the band in 1967.
When McVie later decided to take up Green's offer, Brunning stepped aside and the first classic incarnation of Fleetwood Mac was born.Â
Brunning did appear on the band's debut album, though, playing on the song 'Long Grey Mare'.
He later played with the Brunning Sunflower Blues Band, Tramp, and later the DeLuxe Blues Band and he was a successful author, writing several books about his former band.
RIP Bob Brunning, 1943 - 2011
