Ones To Watch: Gasoline Outlaws

The next band stepping into the spotlight Planet Rock’s weekly Ones To Watch feature is riff-laden Northern Ireland quartet Gasoline Outlaws.

Gasoline Outlaws are brothers Matt (vocals) and Chris Fitzsimons (bass), Adam Parkin (guitar) and Ryan Hood (drums).

Despite having an impossibly American sounding name (it’s up there with The Cadillac Three), Gasoline Outlaws originate from Belfast and they serve up a heady musical concoction of chugging riffs, driving beats and oft potent lyrics. Formed three years ago, the band released their first single ‘Nothing On Me’ in the summer of 2015, which whet the appetite ahead of their boldly titled debut album ‘No Rules, No Laws, No Regrets.’ One of the album’s undoubted zeniths is ‘Stand as One’; a powerful call for unity in the face of the conflicts going on in the world that came with a hard-hitting and emotionally rousing video. Having unleashed the single ‘Breathe Again’ in 2016, Gasoline Outlaws are currently gearing up for the release of their second studio album in early 2018 and a slot at Planet Rock’s Winter’s End Festival in February 2018.
