Ones To Watch: Deever
This week’s Ones To Watch feature sees us shine the spotlight on North East hard rockin’ newcomers Deever!
Deever are Wil ‘Billy Taylor (vocals, guitar), Phil Appleton (bass, vocals), Dan ‘Higgy’ Higgins (drums), Stevie Stoker (guitar/vocals).
Formed by ex-Inglorious guitarist Billy Taylor, Deever burst onto the scene all guns blazing in July with their debut single ‘Fire At Will’. Coming complete with an ultra-macabre video, the song was a powerful statement of intent that showcased the band’s hard-hitting yet melodious modern rock sound. Having played their debut show this summer supporting Mason Hill, Deever have unleashed the new behemoth of a tune ‘All Come Running’, which once again juxtaposes pummelling riffs with sky bound, anthemic choruses. It whets the appetite nicely ahead of their shows in the run-up to Christmas and Planet Rock presents Winter’s End in February 2018!
Deever are currently recording their debut record at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool and North Red Studios in Darlington.
