Nirvana Bassist To Take Part In Nevermind Tribute

Krist Novoselic to play at Seattle concert

Published 19th Aug 2011

There are a lot of Nevermind related tribute shows happening this year as the seminal 1991 grunge album celebrates its 20th birthday, but perhaps the show at the Experience Music Project's Sky Church is the most intriguing as it will feature a performance from Nirvana's bassist Krist Novoselic

The bassist will join the band Presidents Of The United States Of America for a performance of one of the songs from the album.

The whole record will be played by a variety of local Seattle based bands including the Fastbacks, the Long Winters, Visqueen, Campire OK, Valis (featuring members of Screaming Trees), and others to be announced soon.

The night will also raise money for Susie Tennant, who worked with Nirvana at labels Sub Pop and Geffen and is currently battling cancer.
