Nickelback cancel North American tour

The band have cancelled dates as Chad Kroeger requires surgery.

The news sees all remaining dates of the second leg of Nickelback's 2015 No Fixed Address North American tour called off after Kroeger was diagnosed with an operable cyst on his vocal cords.

In a statement on the band's website, Chaid said:

"I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans. I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible."

The frontman is due to undergo surgery in 3 weeks time, following a period of vocal rest ordered by his doctors.

The tour is expected to resume with the European leg in September, with the UK dates in November still currently going ahead.
