New Grateful Dead Live Set Due

Classic 1989 show makes its way to CD/DVD

The Grateful Dead release new live album, Crimson, White & Indigo, on 19 April.

The album was recorded on 7 July 1989 at the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia. All but one of the 19 tracks featured on the 3CD/DVD album are previously unreleased.

The tracks on were mixed from the 24-track analog master tapes, enhanced using the latest audio engineering technology and presented here in HDCD. The set comes packaged with a booklet of rare photos and an essay by Steve Silberman, who coproduced the Grateful Dead's boxed set of previously unreleased recordings, So Many Roads (1965-1995).

The Dead on the recording were comprised of guitarist Jerry Garcia, drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, bassist Phil Lesh, keyboardist Brent Mydland, and guitarist Bob Weir.
