New Album From The Smashing Pumpkins

Billy Corgan has revealed that his band has a new album due in June

The band's new record, Oceania, is due to be released on 18 June and it's their first studio album for five years.

The Smashing Pumpkins have spent the past couple of years working towards their ambitious 44 song project, Teargarden By Kaleidyscope, which has seen them release a couple of songs every few months (12 songs have been released so far and Oceania will make up a part of that song-cycle).

Last September Billy Corgan told Billboard.com why they had decided to release a traditional album, rather than continue the drip-feed releases.

"I reached a point where I saw that the one-song-at-a-time idea had maxed itself out," Corgan said. "I just saw that we weren't reaching the sort of casual person who still gets their information from traditional sources. So I thought, 'What do I need to do?' and then I thought, 'OK, I'll go back to making an album.' "

The tracklisting for Oceania is as follows:

Panopticon

The Celestials

My Love Is Winter
