Neil Young Reveals Archive 2 Info

The second volume of Young\'s epic box set series is underway

His Archive Vol.1 took nearly a decade to be released, but it seems that we may see Neil Young’s second instalment of his epic Archive series sooner rather than later.

A post on his official website says that the new set will contain, amongst other things, four unreleased albums that are currently being built from the original tapes. Archive 2 will stretch from the mid-70s to the early 80s.

The four unreleased albums from this period are being rebuilt and will be available in the NYA Special Release Series. Chrome Dreams, Homegrown and Oceanside-Countryside are three unreleased studio albums. Also from this period is the unreleased Odeon-Budokan live recording produced by David Briggs and Tim Mulligan. These albums will be released in vinyl from analog masters as they originally were created for that format. No word on whether they will be released on CD separately to the Archives box set.

The new Archives Box Set will feature even more unreleased material than the first set, and is currently being compiled from numerous sources, including newspapers, writers, fans, bootleg audio collectors and photographers.

No word on release dates for the new box set.

The first archive box set was a 10 disc (CD/ DVD or Blu Ray) collection and was released in June last year
